Cornbread Recipe
Cornbread has been a family favorite of mine for some time. In this post I’ll share a simple recipe that’s easy to follow and will help you make the best cornbread ever.
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup cornmeal
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 Eggs
- 1cup milk
- 1/4 butter
Directions
- sift flour baking powder & salt in a bowl
- Add cornmeal & sugar
- Beat eggs with milk & butter until smooth
- Pour mixture into a greased loaf tin
- Heat oven to 350
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden
- Serve hot
Topping Options
Although delicious on its own you can add a few toppings that with enhance the taste even more.
- Maple syrup
- Jams or Jellies
- Butter
- Honey
