The breakfast of champions Jamaican Banana Porridge also known as cog or Pop is a great way to start your morning. This sweet and filling dish will leave you licking your bowl and asking for more. Usually made for breakfast with a side of crackers or bread.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk/ soy milk powder
- pinch of salt
- nutmeg
- cinnamon powder
- vanilla extract
- 2 cups water
- 4 tbs sugar
- condensed milk
- 4 Green bananas
Directions
- Peel bananas and cut into smaller pieces to fit in blender
- Add chopped banana to blender along with salt , nutmeg, cinnamon powder
- Add four tablespoons of brown sugar
- Add four tablespoons soy milk powder
- Next add 1 cup water
- Blend ingredients until smooth
- Add blended mixture to 2 cups of boiling water
- Stir mixture consistently to prevent lumps
- Mix and add water occasionally
- Add vanilla extract and mix it in
- Boil for 10-15 mins
- Sweeten to taste

- sweeten with sugar or condense milk
- For vegan option use plant-based milk
