How To Make Tamarind Glazed Porkchops

This sweet and tangy Tamarind glazed porkchop recipe will leave your mouth watering and eager to try it out.

Ingredients

4 Med. Pork chops

1/8 Tsp. Salt

1/8 Tsp. Pimento (All Spice) Powder

1/4 Small Scotch Bonnet (sliced)

1 Medium Onion (sliced)

1 Large Clove Garlic

1/4 Tbsp Cooking Oil Of Choice

4 Tbsp. Sammi’s Tamarind Jam

Directions

  1. Rinse pork chops and dry.
  2. Season with chopped garlic, scotch bonnet pepper, salt and pimento powder.
  3. Heat sauce pan, add 1/4 Tbsp oil and add pork chops when hot.
  4. When brown on either side remove chops and put into pot and add 1/4 cup of water then cover.
  5. Keep adding water every 10 mins until tender.
  6. Cook for 30-35 mins. Add onions along with the scotch bonnet slices.
  7. Add 4 Tbsp. Sammi’s Tamarind Jam and cover on low heat for 5 minutes.
  8. Serve with fresh vegetables
